And keeping it in the Lake - Independence Geographical area - as we reported last night, 20 year old Lloyd ELIJIO was shot just after 6:00 pm. Police say he was riding on Marigold Lane when a person known to him as AKEEM let loose with a spray of gunfire.
Elijio was very seriously injured with 11 bullet wounds; he was shot to the upper left side of the chest, five times to the abdomen, once to the right thigh and four times to his lower back. He is in critical condition and police have a suspect who they are looking for.
It was the second shooting on the same street in less than 12 hours.
