And while those ADO buses will have a different kind of experience on Belize's roadways than they do on those concrete and hot-mixed Mexican Superhighways - Belize's roads are undergoing an assessment.
It will be done by a van like this which is from the International Road Assessment Programme which will conduct a survey of Belize's road network.
The van is mounted with cameras, which will undertake video-based inspections along the paved road network. We hope those cameras are shock mounted, because those paved roads are often in poor condition.
Here's how it works: the survey vehicles will record images of the road as it travels the highways and the video footage it collects will be analyzed to come up with a star system which will rate the safety of the country's road network.
