A man was murdered in the Stann Creek District sometime after 10 this morning. It happened on a Citrus farm located near Mile 10 on the Hummingbird Highway - belonging to the Zabaneh family.
From what we were able to gather, Guatemalan National Anibal Lopez was specializing along with 2 other workers when an altercation broke out and one of the men pulled a machete and chopped Lopez to the left side of his neck.
Lopez then ran to his home nearby and locked himself in. When the police arrived on the scene they forced entry into his house - where they saw Lopez lying dead in a pool of blood.
