On Monday morning at 7:45, Elmer FIGUEROA, was walking on King Street in Belize City, when he was robbed at gunpoint by a man carrying a silver handgun.

FIGUEROA handed over his back pack with his Passport, wallet cell phone and ipod. The gunman rode off towards Albert Street. He escaped, but not for long. Yesterday afternoon Police searched #68 King Street and found 19 year old Chris REYES.

The search turned up one .22 caliber pistol and 49 grams of cannabis. They also found Figueroa's passport.

Reyes was charged for the offences of (1) Kept unlicensed firearm possession of controlled drugs and robbery. He pleaded not guilty to the charge but was denied bail because of the nature of the offences. He was remanded until October 17th.
