A prison officer was taken to court today, accused of trying to smuggle drugs into the prison.
32 year old Deon Crawford was allegedly busted with weed when he reported to work at the Kolbe Central Prison yesterday.
He was searched and his co-workers say they found one hundred grams of cannabis in his boots.
Today in court, he was charged with drug trafficking and pleaded not guilty. He was released on a bail of four thousand dollars and his case was adjourned until November.
