They didn't find the stolen BDF firearms, but the Gang Supression Unit has recovered an unauthorized digital camoflauge BDF Battle Dress Uniform.
This morning the GSU searched the single room apartment of 38 year old Albert TALBERT known as CAT on Maskal Street in Belize City.
When polcie got into the apartment, TALBERT was seen throwing a black plastic bag through the apartment's front door. The bag was retrieved and it contained 375 grams of cannabis - which is almost a pound. A search inside his apartment turned up just over 10 grams of cannabis..
Also found inside this apartment was a complete Battle Dress Uniform, the new digital camoflauge type which is what the BDF has started to use. Talbert told the police it was sold to him by a soldier.
That's not a crime, though, and TALBERT was arrested and charged only for the drugs: he faces a single count of drug trafficking and two counts of possession of controlled drugs.
