Man Knocked Down By Bus Dies; Another Knocked Down Today

Last night we reported on an accident involving a man identified only to us as "Derol" who was knocked down between miles 10 and 11 on the western highway.

It happened a little before 6 yesterday evening. The victim was Errol Chesterfield Dominguez, a 55 year old hearing impaired resident of Hattieville who was riding home.

Well, he died last night at the KHMH at 10:50 pm form massive head injury.

Chesterfield was knocked down as he was crossing the highway. The bus was a Will's Bus line, driven by 27 year old Nelson Montalvo which was heading towards Mahogany Heights.

And while he is dead, another man is in very dire condition, a second person has been knocked down by a bus less than 24 hours after that accident. He is 40 year old Richard Cal - a villager of Maya Mopan. He got knocked down in front of the Belmopan Bus Terminal around 4:00 this afternoon - while trying to cross the street. Reports are that it was a Guerra's bus that knocked him down.

Reports say he had to be taken out from under the bus. Cal received massive head injuries and was rushed to Belize City in an ambulance for treatment at the KHMH.
