Youths Charges For Stealing Another Kid’s Knapsack

Three boys, two of them 14 years old and the third, 15, who allegedly stole a gold chain and a school bag from a 12 year old boy, were charged with robbery when they appeared today in Belize Family Court.

They pleaded not guilty to the charge and they were released on bails of one thousand dollars each. Their case was adjourned until January 5th. The incident occurred yesterday on Lakeview Street.

The 12 year old, a primary school student, reported to the police that he was on his way home from school when he was accosted by three other primary school students.

He said the trio attacked him and stole his gold chain and knapsack school bag with school books. He said the chain and knapsack with the books have a combined value of one hundred and ninety dollars.
