Man Accused Of Double Murder in Carmelita Commits Suicide
posted (December 23, 2011)
Yesterday morning, Carmelita Village witnessed the worst pair of murders of the year: 40 year old Lorne Lisbey went to the family home of his estranged common law wife with a 16 gauge shotgun, killed his mother in law and sister in law and shot his ex-common law.

After that, he bolted - and police last night had him listed as being on the run. Well, it turns out that rumors around the village were true - Lisbey had killed himself.

This morning, Lisbey's body was found a quarter-mile south east of the scene of the killing in some bushes with an apparent gunshot wound to the back of the head. Police found a 16-gauge shotgun with one expended shell behind him.

It is being treated as a suicide.

As we reported yesterday, Lisbey strode into the yard of the Pech family around 11:00 with a shotgun. He opened fire, shooting his former mother in law Anacleta Pech and then his former sister in law Anna Pech and after that shooting his ex, Judith Rhaburn, in her midsection and hand. She had to undergo emergency surgery and is now recovering.

Lisbey didn't stop there; he also fired several shots at Pech family members, but they managed to dodge the bullets.

There was a history of violence between Lisbey and Judith Rhaburn and some recent-flare up's.

Only a month ago, she had him arrested for domestic violence. He was released by police a couple days later. She decided to move out and go live with her mother - a decision Lisbey did not agree with and had been threatening her ever since. Around 3 o'clock yesterday morning, hours before the incident happened, Lisbey made a threat to his wife and the police were called.
