At 7:30 on Wednesday night, 17-year old Rodel Requena and his 16 year old girlfriend Denicia Figueroa were standing by the sea wall on Southern Foreshore, Belize City near the old Bellevue Building when a man approached asking for a dollar.

That's when four other men came up from behind - one of them armed with a handgun. They robbed the couple, getting off with a pair of cell phones and twenty-three dollars.

But police arrived at the scene shortly after and apprehended the suspects and the stolen items. They are five males, three adults and two minors.

18 year old Alton Bailey, 19 year old Aaron Gordon and 18 year old Kenroy Willoughby - along with a 15 and 16 year old were charged with two counts of robbery.
