One man has been charged in connection with the murder of Rodolfo Vidal Perrera - the 37 year old Orange Walk businessman who was executed outside his house last Saturday night.
Police say 19 year old Orange Walk resident, Leonardo Ayuso, was involved and today in Orange Walk Magistrate's Court he was charged with abetment to commit murder.
Bail was denied and Ayuso was remanded to prison.
He is one of five men who were detained: we understand two have been released and two remain detained.
Police have also impounded an Isuzu Trooper with Oregon License Plates which was intercepted near Sandhill and hour and a half after the murder. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of three expended nine millimeter shells.
