Alleged Tourist Robbers Arraigned

Three men were charged today in the number 6 Magistrate's court with 3 counts of theft, after its alleged that they stole thousands of dollars' worth of items from several tourists vacationing on Caye Caulker.

The men are 28 year old Kevin Williams, 19 year old Gregory Goodfellow and 28 year old Levi Bahadur. All three pleaded not guilty to the charge.

They each were granted bail of Three Thousand Five Hundred dollars, and their case was adjourned until February 29th. The incident occurred yesterday on the island. Benjamin Oldham reported to the police that his backpack containing Three Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Six dollars' worth of personal items, was stolen.

A second tourist, Martina Paulfrey reported that her backpack containing Two Thousand Five Hundred Eighty dollars' worth of personal items, was also stolen.

And, Eva McFarlane reported that 3 bicycles were stolen from her. The police reported that while they were pursuing the suspects, one of them, Bahadur fell into a hole and broke his right leg.
