Ruhesi Eligio, a Belize City laborer, was arraigned for a single charge rape when he appeared in the Magistrate's Court Today.
It is alleged that the he raped a 23 year old female on March 25, 2011.
No plea was taken, but he was offered bail of $5,000 plus 1 surety, which he was able to meet late this evening.
He is expected to return to court on February 23, 2012.
Eligio was represented by Attorney Lionel Welch.
