Since PUP Caribbean Shores Candidate Anthony Mahler resigned as standard bearer, the party has been scrambling to come up with the name of a candidate - with an impressive enough resume to impress the voters in what is believed to be the country's most discerning division - and one that's also combat ready - since the election is imminent.
Well, it seems that man is Ophthalmologist Dr. David Hoy. The Party Secretariat today sent out a release trumpeting his candidacy.
The release says that the PUP Caribbean Shores Executive Committee endorses Hoy as Standard Bearer.
Hoy, who served a brief stint as a senator, has many of the attributes of a good candidate on paper, but lacks political experience as we've never known him to offer himself for elected office.
The support of the Caribbean Shores Committee is expected to assist in that regard.
