A 74 year old woman was robbed at gunpoint yesterday in Belize City. Ms Neri Acevedo, a domestic of West Landivar in Belize city, was walking on New Road when a young man confronted her.
The fair complexioned man stopped his bicycle, took out a silver handgun and made away with her beige sling purse. Inside the bag were her house keys, medication, Social Security Card, and $90.00 in cash along with other documents.
The robber then made a clean getaway in the direction of Douglas Jones St. The police have yet to detain any suspects.
