Justin Goff for Robbery
posted (February 9, 2012)
Justin Goff, a 23 year-old resident of Marigold Lane was arraigned for theft today. According to court details, on Tuesday he grabbed Julio Lopez's beach cruiser bicycle. When Lopez wouldn't let go of the bike, Goff allegedly pulled out a machete and brandished it.

Goff pleaded not guilty to the charge, and when Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer asked the prosecutor if there were any objections to bail, she submitted several.

The prosecutor objected because of the prevalence of the crime, his other offenses committed over the years and because he owed the court for several separate convictions. His court history showed that Goff was convicted of 3 drug possessions, wounding and harm, from 2006 to 2009. He now owes the court $795 dollars in fines which he has not paid.

As a result, Senior Magistrate Frazer informed him that he has to serve 7 months for defaulting on payment. The issue of bail was put aside, and a warrant was prepared for Goff to serve prison time for the fines which he hasn't paid.
