And taking a break now from politics, we turn to crime. On Friday night in Belize City, an 18 year old was shot. At around 7:30, Deron Sanchez, a student of #3 Iguana Street, was at a friend's house in his neighborhood.
They were on the verandah when a man rode up on a bicycle and opened fire on them. The gunman rode off while Sanchez was shot to the upper chest and back.
He was rushed to the KHMH where he is reported in a stable condition. Sanchez's family refused comment today.
At the crime scene we saw police canvassing the scene and they found no expended shells.
