"Well, this year's women's month is being celebrated under the theme 'Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures. This year, we felt that it is important to ensure that we also include girls. In order for us to truly empower women, we need to begin very early on. This - we felt that this year, it is more appropriate to go along with the global theme of 'Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures'. This year, we are looking at a variety of activities, not only from the Women's Department. In every district we have activities every day. So we are looking at sporting activities, activities that deal with art, and also activities that bring awareness and information different issues. For the Women's Department in particular, this year we have partnered once again with Body 2000 to offer free fitness sessions for women and girls throughout the month of March. So we actually began yesterday with Zumba classes. So every day, with the exception of the 7th, 8th, 9th and the 12th, we'll offering a variety of fitness sessions which include core strengthening and stepping, zumba, aerobics, spinning classes, flexibility and an introduction to weights."

She urges the public to visit their office to find out all those plans that will be offered countrywide...
