Tonight, 20 year-old Deandray McKoy, a Belize City resident, is on remand for allegedly trying to kill another Belize City resident.
According to police, 20 year-old Alexis Ku reported that on Wednesday, at about 8 p.m., he was walking on William Street when McKoy allegedly rode up to him and shot him several times in the abdomen, the lower back and the left hand.
Ku was rushed to the hospital, where he was treated for his injuries, and immediately after, police began a search for Deandray McKoy.
Today, McKoy was taken to Magistrate's Court where he was arraigned before Magistrate Aretha Ford for attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm.
Because of the nature of the offences, McKoy couldn't be granted bail, and he was remanded to prison until October 10, his next court date.
