it is an ambitious goal and one the Rotary Club is hoping to achieve
with your help. The charity group is helping out the Salvation Army in their
annual toy drive. Rotarian Eddy Bulwer says it is the least they or any Belizean
could do for needy children.
Eddy Bulwer, Rotary Club
"We are appealing to the general public to donate either a new toy or shake
out your toy box, talk to your kids and get some good used toys. We are not
looking for ragged toys, we are looking for really nice toys that can be dropped
at the many drop off centers we have set up and they will help spread some cheer
this holiday season."
"I ask and I appeal to everybody throughout the length and breadth
of Belize - if you coming to town to shop for Christmas: our drop off points
are Brodies in downtown Belize City, Hofius, Sav-U Supermarket, Mirab, and A&R
on the northern highway. If you don't see the drop-off barrel just ask any of
the staff and they will point you to it and you can leave a toy there and it
will bring a smile to child this year. It is in giving that we receive."
Toys will be collected until December 15th and they will be distributed
on the 17th. The drop-off points are Brodies on Albert street, Hofius, Mirab,
Sav-U, and A&R store.
