Corozal Police have issued wanted posters for two men. They are, Robert Hill who is wanted for armed robbery and Austin Sutherland who is wanted for burglary.
Hill is accused of robbing the Chang Li Game Room in Corozal Town on June 5th. He allegedly strode in and held the owner and his wife at gun point, while snatching up $300.00 dollars from the cash drawer. The businessman said he then rode off one one of the customer's bicycles. A warrant for his arrest has been issued.
Our records show that in 2005 Hill was part of a prison escape. At the time, police said he was serving a combined 27 years for a strong of robbery conviction. Hill was also once convicted of the murder of a young girl, Becky Gilharry, but got off that conviction on appeal.
The other wanted person does not have as colourful a criminal record. The owner of the Breeze Hotel told police that at about 3:30 on the morning of June first, his room was burglarized and various items valued at $755.00 dollars were stolen. Police say that the suspect is Austin Sutherland of G Street South in Corozal Town. A warrant for his arrest has also been issued.
