Our newsroom has confirmed with reliable sources that Pelayo was detained in Houston after he was processed by immigration.

According to our sources, the US authorities have him held at a detention center after he was escorted by officers of the USA's Drug Enforcement Agency.

Sources tell us that he will remain in that detention center until tomorrow, where his family hopes that he will be release and sent back to Belize.

We've also been informed that when he applied for his visa, the US Embassy held on to his passport for a longer than normal period, and he had to sign a waiver in which he agreed that even though he got an authentic US VISA, it didn't ensure that he would be allowed to enter freely.
