Yesterday, 7News showed you the handing over of those 17 vehicles by the British Forces to the BDF.
Well, one thing we didn't get a chance to air was the fact that British High Commissioner, His Excellency Pat Ashworth's announcement that he will no longer hold the post.
He addressed the gathering on the hand over, while lightly announcing to the nation what will take place in a few months.

"First of all, I want to thank you very much for arranging this impressive display of English weather for me. I'll be leaving Belize, unfortunately, at the beginning of August and I'll be having quite a lot more of this only a temperature of about twenty degrees Celsius less, then this is good training for me anyway. Often you start these talks with, 'It gives me great pleasure too'; well actually, today, it does give me great pleasure."
