Three weeks ago, Dara Robinson staged his Ride for Hunger fundraising event. Now, he's back with his 6thannual Lucky Dube cyber-theater concert. He explained how he is mixing reggae vibes and philanthropy to feed the children:..
Dara Robinson - Grassroots Philanthropist
"It's a Reggae tribute concert but it's all for a cause. It's my way of how I raise funds, I am a reggae lover and I pay tribute to reggae legends. I'm inviting families out, it's a family show - it's going to be reggae music at the highest level and reggae music that won't offend anybody. Even the neighborhood, you won't get the vulgar, slackness and gangsterism - it's strictly conscious reggae music. Also I ask those that can bring along food, they can pass through and bring it and even if they won't be a part of the tribute concert. At 2;00 the barrel will be at the gate and we're accepting anything in food - we're not refusing anything from the smallest amount to the biggest."

"Why do you do these annually?"
Dara Robinson
"Well every six months I have to come up with a way on how I can sustain this program because a lot of people hear about Dara and what he's doing but when the months go by everything dies down but the work continues. So this is the way how I come up - God has blessed me and gives me those visions, the ride, the tribute concert and that is how I raise funds. I continue doing community work and a lot of stuff, it's a tireless work but I champion it and I enjoy giving people a good show and good things."
The concert will be held on the Bird's Isle Basketball court this Sunday at 4pm. Entrance fee is only 5 dollars and you can bring along a food items and donations that will go towards the feeding program.
