The game happened this morning, and Tropigas invited the media to see them giving back to their patrons. The contestants had to do some very interesting and entertaining activities, while competing against each other for the main prizes. 7News attended, and we spoke with the Manager about this game:

Rochelle Tucker, Chain Regional Manager - Tropigas
"We call it "Come down to Tropikong Competition." Kong is one of our biggest representatives when it comes to Tropigas. He is our mascot and we want everybody to familiarize themselves with him and put it matching to our branch."

"How the game works is that had to select a balloon from the balloon crate and once the balloon has a coin in it they get a chance to go an purchase a banana, you know gorilla - banana. So with that they get the banana and then the tabulator gave them a cheque and what they had do with that cheque was to guess the total value of the items that we had displayed. The person that came closest to it is the winner of the motorbike. The person that didn't win get the opportunity to take home a TCL TV."

"I am a customer here in Belmopan and I got all my items in Belmopan and so I have been living in Belmopan for about 10 years now. I feel good winning the prize."

"I can use it to go school every day. I live over a mile from school, so that would be very economic for me."

"Ma'am, we saw you struggled quite a bit there to burst that balloon, you slammed on it as hard as you could and of all the contestants you seem to have the most difficulty. Tell us about winning even though you only had a few chances to burst the balloon?"

"I thought it would be easy to burst the balloons but it was not that easy. At school it played it with my kids and I found it quite easy. But on these chairs it's quite different."

The main prizes were the 4 motor bikes which the winners took home today.
