posted (March 28, 2014)
On Wednesday we told you that Erin Davis had died. The 18 year old Belize City resident was in that March ninth traffic fatality that killed 20 year old Linsbert Tucker and 3 year old Ashley Silva. Well Erin Davis was sitting beside Tucker when he crashed into the oncoming vehicle. He was hospitalized for 17 days, and died on Wednesday. His mother who works in the hospital monitored her son throughout, from he was brought into the emergency room. Today, she told Monica Bodden what she saw:..

Voice of: Mother of Erin Davis
"My mom was sick so she was in the emergency room and I was there cleaning her up when the first patient came in, it was the baby and the second person came in - I was looking to see who it was and then one of my co-worker just close the door, so I didn't see who it was and I went with my mom upstairs and then my phone rang and that was it. I tell you really horrible news. My son says say mom where is Erin and I told him Erin went to Boom and he says where are you and I told him that I am at work. He says mom, and says Junie what, he says that they just call him and tell him Erin got into an accident. So I scream out and ran all the way to the emergency room. There I saw my son and I hug him and I cried. I ask him Erin what happen, but he didn't respond from there until his death."

Monica Bodden
"So he wasn't conscious at any point?"

Voice of: Mother of Erin Davis
"No, not at all."

Monica Bodden
"You mentioned to me that the other young man was conscious?"

Voice of: Mother of Erin Davis
"Yes he was until he went into the emergency room, he was talking because he was at the next bed from my son and I went and I look at him. I thank God for giving me 17 days to see him more. I look at him every day and I cry. Every single say I cry from the day he crash until the day he died - every day I am there with him and I look at him and I cry."

Glenda Rowland, Aunt of Erin Davis
"This time we are trying to coop in the loss of my nephew Erin. There is nothing more we can do, just we are getting ready to lay him to rest because I think its hard for us to say we are getting over it because we will never get over it, but we know that he is at peace with the Lord because he isn't the pain that he was in. So I think we are getting used to it - to lay him to rest. He was in a coma for 17 days, he knew no one. The first time I saw him I held my chest because I say oh my, my Erin because Erin is one of the nephews (I love all), but he is one that I hold dearly in heart because he is always laughing. He is a friendly person, Erin, I think from the old to the middle age, everybody love Erin. Erin could see me from here to yonder and he will shout auntie and I better make sure I turn around and answer because he will not stop until I turn around and say yes Erin."

Voice of: Mother of Erin Davis
"I want people to stop talking things they don't know because that guy who said that he was intoxicated - that's a lie. From my point of view that's a lie. He didn't even have one once of alcohol on his breath. I am asking you, I am telling you. I personally hug him and kiss him and there was not an alcohol on his breath because I don't drink, so I will smell it."
