The 2014 Commonwealth Games is a little over 3 weeks away, and today, the National Olympic Committee announced the athletes who will represent Belize in Glasgow, Scotland.
Belize will compete in 5 of the events at the games, and will be represented by Katy Sealy in the Heptathlon. Kaina Martinez will run the 100-meter and 200-meter races in the female category. In the male category of the sprints, Mark Anderson will be the representative. Brandon Jones In the male triple and long jumps, while Kenneth Medwood compete in the 400-meter hurdle.
In Cycling, Giovanni Lovell and Joel Borland will participate in the road and time trial events, while Gregory Lovell and Ron Vasquez will compete in the road discipline.
Andrew Wigmore will participate in the men trap shooting discipline, while Tyrone Tun will compete in the table tennis men's singles. Finally, Kent Gabourel will participate in the triathlon.
That makes 12 athletes, who will be accompanied by 6 coaches and officials and the Chief of Mission, Patrick Henry.
