A week ago, we told you about the departing Taiwanese Amabassador, His Excellency David CK Wu. He left the country on Saturday, but Taiwan has already chosen his replacement.
Meet His Excellency Ambassador Benjamin Ho. He will succeed Wu, and is expected to arrive on Thursday.
Ambassador Ho comes with quite an impressive Resume. He graduated from the Soochow University in Taiwan in 1974 with a Bachelor's Degree, and earned his Master's Degree from the National Cheng Chi University in Diplomacy and International Law in 1977. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in 1982.
He has served in Hawaii, United Kingdom and Singapore. Ambassador Ho was also previously posted to Belize as First Secretary and Senior Specialist from 1994-1998. He later served as Ag. Director-General, Foreign Service Institute in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Taiwan in 2005. In May 2009, he was appointed as Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to Kiribati
