Smart Students At SPISE

Earlier this year we told you about 3 gifted Belizean high school students, selected to attend SPISE, a prestigious science camp in Barbados. Well, it started on July 19th and and SJC 4th form graduates, Siian Rancharan, Mishek Musa and Digna Ramirez of Escuela Secundaria Tecnica Mexico have joined 18 of the best young science minds from the region at the Cavehill Campus of the University of the West Indies. The camp is called the Student Program for Innovation in Science and Engineering, and it includes a four-week session of university-level math and science. At the end of the program, the students will demonstrate their projects and present their business plans. It will end on August 16th. The camp hopes to groom the next generation of science, engineering, business and technology leaders in the Region.
