But first, there are two reports currently giving Professional Standards a bit of difficulty to investigate. Those involve brutality reports made by
Armani Bailey and Kariq Tzul.
As we told you, earlier this month, Armani Bailey, the nephew of well-known JP Grace Flowers, said that police officers took him to an area at mile 4
on the Western Highway where they tried to drown him in a garbage bin after contemplating shooting him.
Today, the Professional Standards Branch told us that these officers who have been accused by Bailey have since been assessed with disciplinary
charges, and that criminal charges may follow:
ASP Glen Rivero - OC, Professional Standard Branch
"That matter was investigated. We visited the scene, we saw the dumpster, we have interviewed a person that claimed he visited shorty after being
abused. It was confirmed, but again we need supporting evidence in some of these cases to ensure that we have an air tight prosecution and conviction
at the criminal level. Mr. Bailey's case was investigated, the two police officers that came in contact with him were dealt with disciplinary, they
have been charged. The two officers in the case of Mr. Bailey was charged for being uncivil, jointly while on duty. One of the officers was
additionally charged for the act of prejudice, for good honour and discipline, that is as it relates to Mr. Bailey's injuries. The investigation does
not stop there, the matter or criminal charges will also be looked at."
