The CARICOM Single Market and Economy – Belize is a part of it – but where is it really, or what is it, you might ask. Indeed, other than that logo on our passport, the CSME seems to float in the geopolitical ether. But, a team from CARICOM is hoping to bring it right to your front door. They're here to talk to trade officials about the enhancement of CSME operations – specifically a document called a skilled national certificate. That's the document which enables you to work anywhere in CARICOM without a work permit – just like a regular citizen. Now, as part of a CARICOM competitiveness project that document will be available online and processed through a free movement desk in Belmopan.
