A woman accused 45 year-old Cresencio Flores, a fisherman from Santa Elena, of touching her inappropriately, and caused him to be criminally charged, but tonight he's free, after apologizing in court for the unwanted sexual advance.
The incident occurred on Friday, February 13, when, according to the complainant Flores touched her crotch. Well today, when the case went back before the Magistrate's Court, the woman informed Senior Magistrate Frazer that she wanted no further court action. After she was questioned several times by Senior Magistrate Fraser, the woman admitted that it was a man by the name of Cruz who asked her to drop the charge.
The sexual assault charge against Flores was discharged, but he had to apologize to the woman before he was allowed to leave court a free man.
