From Last week Friday, until yesterday, residents of the Cayo and Belize Districts lined the banks of the Macal and Belize Rivers to see their favorite paddlers take on the 2015 La Ruta Maya River Challenge. The big name teams such as BTL Cobb's Arm and NICH were trying to dethrone the Belize Bank Bulldogs who came back to defend their championship.
Well after 170 miles, the first teams raced into Belize City just before midday, and 7News was there. Here's how that finish looked:
1st Place went to, BTL Cobbs Arms, who defeated the second place holder, NICH, and OCB Wave Maker, who placed third.
