It's one week before Garifuna Settlement Day, but Wesley High School in the Albert Area today went out of its way to re-enact the arrival of the Gairfuna to these shores. It's called yurumein, and the re-enactment requires that the actors come in to shore on canoes – or the next best thing. Today in a sudden squall the next best thing was the Coast Guard – who assisted with two very sea worthy vessels.
