One Belizean is dead and another injured after a terrible accident in Houston, Texas. Well known entertainer and former PUP city council candidate Lennox "Tambran" Young, was driving back to Belize from Houston this morning. He was along with 2 friends Corozal resident Sostenes Tamai and Police Coach Amin August. Reports are that, DJ Tambran stopped at an Auto Parts shop in Northwest Harris County, Houston. That is when a truck rammed into them, injuring DJ Tambran but killing Tamai. Best information at this time is that August was unharmed. We spoke to DJ Tambran's younger brother Leroy "Tambran" Young and he told us what he knew about the accident.
Leroy "Tambran" Young, Brother
"I got a call about 9:30 this morning from Houston that my brother was okay, he only had a broken hand. But the passenger with him Mr. Mai from Corozal died."

"As you were saying your brother he was going to buy vehicle parts in Houston. He was driving a long the road. What do you understand happened?"
Leroy "Tambran" Young, Brother
"He went to pick up some parts. They usually go to Houston to buy their vehicles and they pick up their parts when they are coming home, like its the last part of the shopping. When you are coming home, you buy your parts for your vehicles to take back to Belize and while he was buying the parts, I think something came out of nowhere and smack right into his drivers' side. His passenger Mr. Tamai died unfortunately and my brother sustained a broken hand."

"And the other passenger?"
Leroy "Tambran" Young, Brother
"He is okay, Mr. Amin August. According to what they told me, it as a F-150 pickup truck at high speed. My brother is okay, but I am feeling for the family of Mr. Tamai. I know what they are going through. My brother told me on Sunday that he will be coming in for my birthday. My birthday is on Thursday."
According to Young, his brother Lennox DJ Tambran was in Houston for 3 weeks. He only got a broken arm and will return to Belize on Thursday. Still, Young does not have all the details as to what exactly happened and it seems the police and media in Houston don't either. Here is the short news clip from ABC 13 Houston News where you can see footage of the wrecked vehicles.
We also tried to get an interview with Tamai's family in Corozal but they declined comment. We will get more information on this accident tomorrow.
