Supreme Court Justice Denis Hannomansingh is lucky to be alive tonight after his vehicle flipped violently on the northern highway today. It happened near the notorious Mameyal Curve. At 10:20 am, the 72 year old was southbound, from Corozal to Orange Walk between miles 58 and 59 when he lost control of his 2016 Isuzu M-U-X SUV, and ran off the highway. He attempted to right the vehicle, but it slammed into a culvert and flipped. Police found it inside the mouth of the culvert with its four wheels in the air. It was a major impact, but quite remarkably Hanomansingh escaped unhurt – and he was seen on the roadside talking to police. His government issued vehicle received significant damages.
