For the past 3 days, local and international archaeologists and anthropologists have been participating in the annual Belize Archaeology Anthropology Symposium, which is being held at the San Ignacio Resort and Hotel.
It's a forum where these professionals discuss advancements and best practices in these two fields. But, on Monday evening, before they jumped into the highly technical topics, they enjoyed a laid-back opening ceremony.
