Earlier on we told you how the Taiwanese had donated a whole new building for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - well that was after lunch; after breakfast they also gave $40,000 to the National Celebrations Commission. Today a short handing over ceremony was held at the NICH office on the corner of Regent Street and Rectory Lane. Both the Co-chairperson of the NCC and the Taiwanese Ambassador spoke about the significance of this donation.
As you heard, the funds will be put towards the Pan Yaad Steelband Contest and the Carnival King and Queen Competition.
