posted (November 21, 2016)
In April 2013, a police mobile patrol stopped and searched Joseph O'Brien when he detoured from the George Price Highway into the Lord Ridge Cemetery after seeing the vehicle coming towards him. Police found a rusty .38 caliber revolver with no ammunition and arrested and charged him for possession of a firearm without a gun license.

Initially, he pleaded not guilty and got bail -but then he got sentenced to 14 years for the robbery of the Golden Corn Tortilla Factory in September 2013.

So today - while serving that sentence he appeared in court again for the firearm where he changed his plea from not guilty to guilty. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison. O'Brien is to serve this sentence concurrently with his ongoing14 year sentence.
