One year ago, the Belize City Council embarked on a project to replace thousands of manhole covers for sidewalks all across Belize City.
That's a total of 3,600 manholes, and it was supposed to last only 3 months last year, but that project, which had a budget of 300 thousand dollars, has stalled - and we have seen very little work. So, what's up with that? That's what we asked, and the Mayor said that the contractors ran into some problems that they didn't anticipate:
