Twenty-three year old Darrel Jackson was driving the SUV that flipped at mile 8 on the western Highway on Monday. It caused the death of a 7 month old baby - who was a passenger inside the vehicle. Today, he was charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, drove motor vehicle without due care and attention and drove motor vehicle in contravention of learner's permit. Magistrate Stephanie Gillett released him on a bail of $5,000 and his case was adjourned until August 3.

He was travelling with 7 passengers when he lost control of the vehicle and flipped.
