A Court Of Dreams
posted (May 15, 2017)
It has been 21 years since the Iguana Street Basketball Court was built and it finally got a much needed makeover. Today the revived basketball court was inaugurated and the youth in the area didn't waste any time in trying it out. Now this is part of an initiative to keep youth off the street through sports. In early April we had reported on the first court that was opened on Faber's Road. Today at a short ceremony on Iguana Street, the Deputy Director of the National Sports Council Charlie Slusher discussed how impactful this new court space will be for the kids.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council partnered on this project. The total cost of renovations is about $12,000.
