Bail For Alleged Coro Kidnappers
posted (May 19, 2017)
Today, two alleged kidnappers were released on bail. Jeffery Gongora and Brian Espinoza allegedly made up half of the team that robbed and kidnapped Eder Hall and two of his friends.

According to police, Hall and his companions went to Ranchito Village with $13,000 in cash to purchase a car, but before the transaction took place, they were held up by Gongora and Espinoza, along with Elio Lopez and Jason Espinoza. The trio were bound and stuffed in the back of their vehicle. However, as they were being driven away, Hall managed to pull a razor blade from his wallet and cut himself loose, while his companions hopped out of the trunk.

Two of the kidnappers, Jason Espinoza and Elio Lopez, were caught and charged in the Magistrate's Court last week with three counts of kidnapping and three counts of robbery. But Brian Espinoza and Jefferey Gongora remained at large. They handed themselves into police earlier this week and were given the same charges.

Today they went to the Supreme Court for bail and were both released on $10,000 bail. They must report to the Corozal Police Station every Friday, must reappear in court again in August, and were ordered not to interfere with the complainants and witnesses.
