It's called "Hands Across the Sand" and on Saturday at noon, residents of 12 communities gathered around the country and joined hands on beaches, across bridges, along sea walls and in public areas to stand in solidarity against offshore oil development in Belize's economically important marine environment.
It's an annual event organized by OCEANA.
