Police Recover Jacked Hilux
posted (May 29, 2017)
We have reported on a number of bold car jacking's over the years especially involving those Ministry of Health's Toyota Hilux pickups.

Well, this time the target was another Hilux but from the Ministry of Agriculture - and the alleged jacker was one of their own - a Ministry of Agriculture employee.

The grey Toyota Hilux was stolen from the home of the Manager of the Pesticide Control Board in Central Farm. On Saturday night around 9:40, the 49 year old female manager arrived at her San Ignacio house in the Hilux. A man with a black cloth partially covering his head and face then held her up at gunpoint and put a plastic bag over her face. The man then robbed her of her leather handbag containing cash and credit cards.

He also snatched a black handbag with $4000 Euros in various denominations, and one Touch Screen LG phone. If that wasn't enough he stole $250 in cash and a cell phone from her boyfriend. And then he dashed for her Hilux and sped off with his loot. It was a terrifying hold up but quick police response was able to track down the robber and recover all the stolen items including the $75,000 Toyota Hilux. They also detained 23-year-old Kareem Harvey facing Aggravated Burglary charges. According to the manager, Harvey had been working with the Ministry of Agriculture for a year.
