Police also made two substantial drug busts in the past few days. On Sunday the Southside Strike Team searched a Westline Bus on the corner of Elston Kerr St. and the George Price Highway. They found a brown school bag containing 5 parcels of cannabis weighing just over 3 1/2 pounds.
The Southside Strike Team conducted another search this morning with the help of the Special Branch. After combing an abandoned lot on Caesar Ridge Road, the cops found a brown sack marked with a Quetzal bird. The sack contained 8 parcels of cannabis which together weighed about 7 pounds.
No one was in the area when these drugs were found, so they were submitted as found property as well.
