82 year old Ricardo Vasquez died on Friday, almost exactly one week after police found him beaten up in a drain. Finally, on Saturday, the police press office sent out its first report on what is now being investigated as a murder.
Police say that on last week Monday night around 10:45 Vasquez was walking on Water Lane heading towards his home on Bagdad Street when a man beat him up and fled the scene. His family says he was robbed. Vasquez had an abrasion on his right cheek and hand along with a cut wound to the back of his head. No one has been charged so far.
