In another case of domestic violence, yesterday around 3: 45 pm Alexia Del Carmen Melendez was walking home in the San Mateo area of San Pedro when a man riding a bicycle attacked her with a knife causing two cut wounds to the left side of her neck. The police have since arrested and charged 28-year-old Gilbert Anthony Palacio. Palacio is a construction worker of the San Mateo Area in San Pedro where the incident occurred. He has been charged with grievous harm, use of deadly means of harm, and attempted murder.
