Roaring Creek
resident Ryan Hyde has been busy. He's charged for shooting a man in
Belmopan and stealing hundreds of feet of copper wire in San Joaquin. Â
Â
Yesterday in
Corozal Magistrate's Court, he was charged for stealing 220 feet of copper wire
from a SMART office compound in San Joaquin, Corozal. He pled guilty and he was
fined $1,000. The incident happened on November 29. Hyde cut the padlock of Smart
compound in San Joaquin Village, and stole the copper wire, valued at $1,237.
Â
And while he took
the plea, he didn't go free. Police were waiting to take him to Belmopan
where this evening the 24 year old was charged for attempted murder. He
and 23 year old Denzel Wagner were jointly charged for shooting 20 year old Jose
Amilcar Najera.
Â
The Armenia
Village farmer was shot in the chin and palm on Thursday December 21st, 2017 in
Belmopan on North Ring Road next to Governor General Field. Hyde and
Wagner allegedly pulled up in a grey Ford Escape and fired shots at Najera who
was sitting in a parked vehicle.Â
Â
Notably, police
say Denzel Wagner is a Coast Guard officer. Â
