While Louriano's family continues to mourn, the police are in the midst of their investigation. Today they shared more which shows that Louriano's brother Joe may have been right. The family of the deceased and the suspect have had an ongoing feud since 2013.

"What happened, police the information and a result proceeded to 6831 Aloe Vera Street where they made checks inside the house and observed several expended shells on the scene."
"What we understand is that Miss Bernadine and her daughter, and another male person were sitting on the couch when a male person approached the front door, and fired several shot in their direction causing the above mentioned injuries. Unfortunately, Miss Bernadine Louriano succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment on Saturday morning, at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. The child was treated and was released the following morning. Police detained 3 persons in regards to this investigation. They were questioned, and they had to be released because of no other information."
"We know that there is an ongoing dispute between family of the deceased and the suspect, and this goes way back from 2013. It's a matter that this is always surfacing, and unfortunately, it escalated to this level with Miss Bernadine losing her life. However, it is very difficult for us, and we have to go by the evidence that we have at this moment. Yes, the suspects were detained and questioned in regard to that information, but unfortunately, we had to release them."
The police continue to investigate.
